Qualifications:

BSc ( Hons) Speech and Language Pathology and Therapeutics (Birmingham Polytechnic)

Experience:

Eight years as an NHS Speech and Language Therapist in Sutton and Merton working with children and adults. 14 years as an NHS SLT in Leeds working in primary and high schools, specialising in speech and language disorders. Four years directly employed as an SLT by a multi-academy trust. Self-employed for the last four years including working for Interactions.

Additional Training:

Derbyshire Language Scheme, Makaton, Lego Therapy, Reading and Language Intervention for Children with Down Syndrome (RLI), Autism Education Trust – using the Progression Framework, Word Aware, Gestalt Language Processing.

Area of interest:

Coaching Teaching Assistants to deliver SLT interventions.
