Qualifications:
BSc ( Hons) Speech and Language Pathology and Therapeutics (Birmingham Polytechnic)
Experience:
Eight years as an NHS SLT in Sutton and Merton working with children and adults. 14 years as an NHS SLT in Leeds working in primary and high schools, specializing in speech and language disorders. Four years directly employed as an SLT by a multi-academy trust. Self-employed for the last two plus years including working for Interactions.
Additional Training:
Derbyshire Language Scheme, Makaton, Lego Therapy, Reading and Language Intervention for Children with Down Syndrome (RLI), Autism Education Trust – using the Progression Framework, Word Aware
Area of interest:
Coaching Teaching Assistants to deliver SLT interventions.
